Maya Sugarman
Maya Lin Sugarman (she/they) is a fitness coach and yoga instructor who blends strength training with mindful movement. She crafts imaginative programs grounded in knowledge. Her sessions energize, ground, and help you move with ease.
Maya specializes in powerlifting (deadlift, squat, bench press). She will help you build a solid postural foundation to move heavy weight. During Maya’s sessions, you can expect to learn. She believes that understanding our complex anatomies helps cultivate self-compassion.
Outside the gym, Maya is a storyteller who makes films and podcasts. She is a former journalist at The Washington Post. She sees strength training as a creative expression, a means of breaking through blocks, and a way to develop confidence. Maya is excited to help you discover your strength!
