Luke Nelson

Luke Nelson (he/him) is an interdisciplinary artist, choreographer, teacher, and dancer invested in movement as healing for marginalized bodies, particularly queer and trans bodies like his own. He explores this through several forms of dance, utilizing Contact Improvisation, improvisational scores, postmodern dance, and country line dance as his research.

In 2022 Luke received his B.A. in Dance from the UCLA World Arts & Cultures/Dance department with a primary focus in Creative Inquiry as Research. In 2023 Luke joined the LA Wranglers and dove in headfirst, performing at events such as Stagecoach, Sundance Stompede, and Disney Pride Nite, and in 2024 became co-dance captain.

Luke has also performed in several music videos and is both a line dance teacher and DJ at various queer country events across LA and Long Beach.
